The Miami Heat defeated the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, moving one game behind the Brooklyn Nets for the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Here are some major takeaways from the game:

-After a slow start, Jimmy Butler had one of his most productive performances. He finished with 26 points on 72 percent shooting. He also recorded a season-high 10 assists, the most since May 4, 2022 when he had 12 in the playoffs.

-Bam Adebayo had a great all-around game. He finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. His shot selection was good as he made a lot of layups and took a few jump shots.

-Kevin Love bounced back from his six-game point game on Saturday by scoring 12 points. He had five of them in the third quarter before leaving the game after banging heads with Jalen Duren.

-The Pistons had a 81-74 lead after the third quarter but the Heat outscored them 38-19 in the fourth. Tyler Herro, who finished with 19 points, led the rally with 10 in the last three minutes.

-The Heat’s bench performed a lot better. Caleb Martin led them with 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block. Max Strus, Omer Yurtseven, and Kyle Lowry combined for 14 points.
