In a night filled with frustration for the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards continued his impressive season.

Edwards finished with 32 points and eight rebounds on 52 percent shooting in the win. In the midst of his success, Edwards showcased his athleticism, preventing a Tyler Herro layup in transition.

During the first quarter, Herro picked up the pace, looking for an uncontested score. Instead, Edwards caught up to him on the fast break. He soared through the air, swatting Herro’s shot out of bounds. This play prevented Miami from gaining a double-digit lead.

Outside of this possession, Herro impressed in his return from injury. The former Sixth Man of the Year scored 25 points on 55.6 percent shooting. However, he shot 1 of 6 from beyond the arc. Herro's aggressiveness prevailed throughout the matchup, regardless of the results.

Perhaps no other players are taking the leap of Edwards this season. Whether it's his competitiveness or talent on both ends of the floor, the 22-year-old guard manages to excel. Earlier this year, Edwards shared that he draws inspiration from Miami Heat legend and Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade.

Miami will hope to bounce back on Wednesday with a tough matchup against the Orlando Magic.
