Watch The Miami Heat’s Play Of The Night: Caleb Martin Drains Contested Shot Ending The First Half

In this story:
The Miami Heat earned their second consecutive win against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, 115-104.
The contest was filled with energizing plays on both ends of the floor. A multitude of three-pointers from sharpshooter Duncan Robinson and slam dunks from big man Thomas Bryant highlighted the bunch. But perhaps none were more exciting than the Heat’s play to end the first half.
With roughly 10 seconds remaining in the second quarter, forward Jimmy Butler penetrated into the paint. He dished the ball out to Martin, who was open in the moment, but quickly swarmed. Martin knocked down the contested shot through heavy contact. This play gave Miami a double-digit lead as they headed to the locker room.
Martin concluded the game with nine points, six rebounds, and four assists on 4 of 13 shooting. The 28-year-old forward has shown inconsistency since returning from injury earlier in the season. However, he never fails to boost morale for the team through his ‘highlight-reel’ plays.
Butler is continuing to impact the game at a high level across the board in the absence of co-stars Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. He recorded 15 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds in the victory. However, he contributed to Miami’s 21 turnovers with four of his own.
Miami is playing the Chicago Bulls on Thursday evening, where they will seek revenge for their disappointing loss earlier this year.
