Brandon Miller Reveals What It's Like Facing Victor Wembanyama

In this story:
Victor Wembanyama captured the attention of basketball fans worldwide well over a year ago. It's not hard to see why when you see a 7-foot-6 giant handle the rock and shoot the ball the way he can. It's something we've never really seen before.
The closest thing to him is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is *only* 6'11".
After the Hornets got out to a sluggish start in 2022-23, fans began to turn their attention to the standings, but more so to see how close they were to landing in the bottom three of the NBA to have the highest % chance to land the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery.
The Hornets finished the season just outside the bottom three with the fourth-worst record but came oh so close to winning the prized pick, securing the second overall selection.
It was a moment of disappointment and joy wrapped up in one. Hornets fans thought for a second that "Wemby" would be headed to Charlotte and it was ripped away from them in a blink of an eye. But to move up two spots in the draft order and take the next best player after Wembanyama is still quite the prize.
So, what did Brandon Miller, the Hornets' No. 2 overall pick, think of matchup against Wembanyama in Summer League? He describes what it was like during an interview on Podcast P with Paul George.
"Every ball screen, they kept switching with a big man, so I'm like, uh...I can't really explain what this is. I think it's a big to big switch, but Victor's of course not a big. He's like an animal. There is no position for him."
"[Was] a lot of fun [playing him]. He's definitely legit 7'6". Legit 7'6". But it was fun just seeing him step up to a challenge and guard me full court. I think that shows a lot of heart and who he is. He's definitely going to have a great career in the league. I think he's a great player off the court as well. He's willing to learn anything."
