Miles Bridges Responds To Austin Rivers' Comments on the Hornets, LaMelo Ball

Feud between Miles Bridges and Austin Rivers begins amid comments from Austin Rivers.

Recently, Austin Rivers spoke on his podcast about the Charlotte Hornets. He termed the roster around LaMelo Ball as "troubled youth."

Rivers went on to say: “Surround LaMelo around f****** people that can help him tap into his potential, not deplete it, and I feel like that's what we're getting right now,” Rivers said on The Ringer. “‘Troubled youth' is like what's usually described…LaMelo hasn't done anything wrong, but it's like, what is the standard that's being set there? The whole thing there, and it's not LaMelo's fault…When [the league] is this young, you put yourself at cost of this s***. But there's still teams that do it right. I don't see this problem in OKC—that team's pretty young, too. That s*** don't fly there.”

Miles Bridges did not take too kindly to that video, as he went onto his Snapchat to speak out about it. "Y'all hoopers get on these podcasts and talk like y'all really like that. Speaking on other teams like y'all know what's going on and most the people talking the most s*** don't play at all. We gonna see about all that this year on me.”

Austin Rivers is currently a free agent in the NBA. Rivers last played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he appeared in 52 games and averaged 4.9 points per game. Rivers has played for seven NBA teams in his career.

The little feud wasn't over as Austin Rivers decided to clap back again and throw out a shot toward Miles Bridges.

It was quite the response from Austin Rivers as he made a comment towards Bridges' character. 'Stop worrying about me and go be one again", Rivers replied back.

It's an interesting situation and there's certainly some irony with Miles Bridges being the one Hornets player to respond to the comment by Rivers.

Although Rivers didn't publicly name Miles Bridges in his podcast, it was clear that his comment had some form of direction toward Bridges.

Bridges missed the entire 2022-2023 season due to a domestic assault charge against him. Bridges will serve his 10-game suspension at the beginning of this year. Many fans believe Miles Bridges should keep quiet for now and let his play do the talking, which isn't necessarily wrong.
