Spurs, Raptors Agree to Trade

Poeltl is on the move

The trade market was extremely active in the wee hours of Thursday morning, headlined with the Brooklyn Nets agreeing to trade Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns. Because of the magnitude of that trade, the trade between San Antonio and Toronto didn't get much attention.

Toronto agreed to send Khem Birch, a protected 2023 1st Round Pick, and two future 2nd Round Picks to the Spurs in exchange for center Jakob Poeltl.

In 46 games with San Antonio, Poeltl averaged 12.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.1 blocker per game. Khem Birch has had an up and down career and saw limited action this season averaging just eight minutes per game across 20 games.
