The Utah Jazz had no trouble blitzing the Denver Nuggets 124-111 on a national stage in the NBA. The final score of this contest does not detail the complete domination displayed by the Jazz in SLC. Losses can be digested multiple ways due to the length of an 82-game Season.

But with this victory, the Jazz surely have the attention of the entire NBA as they sport the best record in the Western Conference over the past 11 games at 9-2. After witnessing the debacle, let's review the takeaways based on the team's performance.

First-Half Tone Setting

The 71 points scored by the Jazz are the most rendered to the Nuggets in any half this season. The Nuggets had fared well on the road and had not lost away from home since 12-6-2023 against the Los Angeles Clippers, but the Jazz were not impressed.

In addition to the Nuggets facing their largest deficient of the season, the Jazz assisted 21 times on 26 baskets. This half of basketball will be remembered as one of the best in Jazz history!

Hot Hot Hot

The Jazz are 9-2 over their last 11 games, which marks the best record in the Western Conference during that span. They are also tied with the Boston Celtics for the best record in the NBA during this span. Imagine a Jazz-Celtics Final?

If this were to happen, Jazz Executive Danny Ainge might want to open an Academy and teach other executives how to manage a team. The Jazz have raised their record to 19-20 and sit only one game from the eighth spot in the West. Along with the recent play of Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton, and Jordan Clarkson, the Jazz are hotter than coins in 100-degree weather.

Beating Quality Opponents

Over the past 10 days or so, the Jazz have defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and now the Nuggets. I generally do not comment on absent players because all teams experience this phase of the game.

The Jazz should be considered a legitimate threat to make the playoffs this season, and victories over the mentioned competition make the case pretty solid.

Including the Nuggets game, the Jazz will enjoy a six-game homestand against teams they can beat. Markkanen is all but a shoo-in for the All-Star Game, and the temperature is rising in SLC.

One can never predict what may happen before the trade deadline, but this may be the season where the Jazz remain as they are and shoot for the stars.

The Jazz will face the Toronto Raptors on Friday at 7:30 PM.
