The Utah Jazz are coming fresh off a home victory on Friday against the Toronto Raptors, now entering with hopes of extending their win streak to five in this back-to-back with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The first time we saw these two face off during the In-Season Tournament, the Lakers dominated en route to a 131-99 win. Now, the Jazz have looked much improved and organized on both sides of the ball in their recent hot stretch, coming out on top in 13 of their last 17.

With these teams being half a game apart from each other for the tenth-seed in the Western Conference, this matchup could be a welcomed lift or a disheartening fallout for the Jazz, depending on the result.

Entering tonight’s game, the injury slate looks clear for the Jazz, while the Lakers may be dealing with a few scratches. Each team unveiled their injury reports ahead of Saturday’s game:

Utah Jazz:

Johnny Juzang- OUT (two-way)

Micah Potter- OUT (two-way)

Jason Preston- OUT (two-way)

Los Angeles Lakers:

LeBron James- QUESTIONABLE (ankle)

Anthony Davis- QUESTIONABLE (ankle)

D’Angelo Russell- QUESTIONABLE (knee)

Christian Wood- QUESTIONABLE (illness)

Cam Reddish- QUESTIONABLE (knee)

Gabe Vincent- OUT

The Lakers have a collection of entries on their report heading into Saturday night. For starters, All-Stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis are listed as questionable with ankle injuries. They both ended up suiting up for LA during their last contest against the Phoenix Suns, but things could look a bit differently going into game time for this one.

The Lakers could also be without some of their key depth pieces, with D’Angelo Russell, Cam Reddish, and Christian Wood also listed as questionable. For a team already struggling with having an extensive rotation as is, any potential absences from their bench could mean some trouble against a deep Jazz roster.

As for the Jazz, their health down the roster will continue further into the new year, having only their three two-way players designated out of this game.

The Jazz and Lakers will tip off in the Delta Center at 7:30 PM MT.
