The contestants for this year's NBA All-Star festivities continue to be dropped in the days leading up to the event, this time with numerous names for the 2024 Three-Point Contest being revealed. It's been a competition that's continued to gain a bit more popularity and recognition in recent years, and it's shaping up to be another exciting time in Indianapolis this go around.

Thankfully for Utah Jazz fans, while their squad failed to get any recognition for the actual All-Star game, they will at least be able to get to see their All-Star from last season get a chance to compete on Saturday night.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Lauri Markkanen will appear in this year's NBA Three-Point Contest alongside at least four other participants:

Among the commitments for the NBA Three-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis: Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton, Milwaukee’s Damian Lillard and Malik Beasley, New York’s Jalen Brunson and Utah’s Lauri Markkanen.

Markkanen competed in last year's competition when the events were held in Salt Lake City, eventually knocking down enough shots to earn 20 points in the first round. While impressive, the score came up just short of advancing, with Damian Lillard eventually winning the entire thing.

He will have the opportunity to get redemption in this year's contest against Lillard, but it won't be a simple task considering the revamped competition playing next to him. Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Brunson have been blazing this season en route to their All-Star selections, and Malik Beasley sits top five in the entire NBA for three-point percentage.

However, the selection process may not be done quite yet, with a pool of eight players expected to be the final result. Stay posted across the next week to see who else gets announced to take on Lauri and the rest of these sharpshooters during All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis.
