Acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves last summer, along with Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Walker Kessler, Bolmaro struggled to carve out a niche in Utah. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound Argentina native appeared in 14 games for the Jazz this season, averaging 0.4 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game.
When the best you can garner is 4.9 minutes per game on average, it's tough to make your mark in the NBA. But even in the wake of Utah's tectonic trade that saw Beasley and Mike Conley depart, Bolmaro hasn't been able to crack much playing time.
The Jazz still have a talented backcourt with Jordan Clarkson and new starter Collin Sexton leading the way. Emerging in recent weeks have been Talen Horton-Tucker and Oachi Agbaji, which only further relegated Bolmaro to the bench.
The Jazz took a stab at Bolmaro, but whether due to timing, roster chemistry, or whatever the reason, the team has already pulled the plug. For now, Utah will console itself with the massive haul it received in the Rudy Gobert trade, which, aside from the premium draft capital, gave the Jazz Kessler, who has emerged into a bonafide force to be reckoned with.
