In this story:

We recently got word of the Utah Jazz deciding to send guard Collin Sexton to represent the team on Tuesday night's draft lottery. While we've seen a few drafts in recent memory not have a true consensus first pick, this year is anything but that. No matter who ends up drawing first-overall, we know Victor Wembanyama will end up being the selection.

What team he'll end up starting his career for remains to be seen. We do, however, know who will be on stage next to Sexton hoping for the ping pong balls to fall in their respective team's favor. Every year, each team decides to send one player to represent their team, and hopefully bring a bit of luck in the process.

This Tuesday, Wembanyama will have these franchises hoping for a little bit more luck than usual. Let's take a look at how each team will be represented, along with just a little bit of what a first-overall selection would end up looking for that team.

Detroit Pistons (t-1st-best odds, 14.0%): Ben Wallace, team exec & former player

Wallace was the man representing the Pistons during the 2021 Draft Lottery when the team was able to secure the no. 1 pick, Cade Cunningham. This year he's back on stage for Detroit hoping for lightning to strike twice. A core of Cunningham-Ivey-Wembanyama-Duren could help lead this Pistons team back to a championship-level team they haven't seen in 20 years.

Houston Rockets (t-1st-best odds, 14.0%): Ime Udoka, head coach

The newest addition to the Rockets' coaching staff, Udoka hopes to immediately impact the team come Tuesday, hopefully bringing the franchise its first number-one pick since Yao Ming. Considering the team's number-one pick history of Ming, Ralph Sampson, and Hakeem Olajuwon, Wembanyama would perfectly fit the mold as a Rockets franchise big.

San Antonio Spurs (t-1st-best odds, 14.0%): Peter J. Holt, team chairman

Holt is the son of former Spurs' owner, Peter M. Holt, who will now look to bring the necessary spark back to the Spurs; leading them back to championship expectations with a number-one overall pick. Like their Texas counterpart, Houston, former number-one picks David Robinson and Tim Duncan would lead you to believe Wembanyama would also fit history perfectly as the next great San Antonio big man.

Charlotte Hornets (4th-best odds, 12.5%): Mark Williams, 2022 first-round pick

The Hornets have yet to ever receive the number-one pick in their franchise's history. Williams will look to change that, hoping to get LaMelo Ball a perfect running mate for years to come. Ironically, a Wembanyama selection would likely lead to him taking Williams' minutes and starting opportunity, so maybe Mark is hoping for the second pick instead.

Portland Trail Blazers (5th-best odds, 10.5%): Brandon Roy, former player

According to a story by The Athletic, after distancing himself from the Blazers' organization for close to a decade, Brandon Roy is back with the team and ready to give the team some lottery luck. Roy was the representative for the team in 2007 after Portland won the first-overall pick. Now, he'll look to repeat history to secure the team's 5th-ever number one selection.

Orlando Magic (6th-best odds, 9.0%): Jamahl Mosley, head coach

The Magic will look to get their second-straight number-one pick after 2022's selection of Paolo Banchero. Mosely was the man on stage for last year's selection and will look to bring some more luck to the team's existing young core. Considering this team's past number-one picks of Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard, Orlando may be due for another great, dominant big man in Wembanyama.

Indiana Pacers (7th-best odds, 6.8%): Tyrese Haliburton, All-Star point guard

Haliburton will attempt to give the Pacers their first-ever first-overall pick in team history, while also hoping to give himself the perfect running mate. A potential duo of Haliburton and Wembanyama could be the perfect recipe to soon lead Indiana to their first NBA championship.

Washington Wizards (8th-best odds, 6.7%): Wes Unseld Jr., head coach

The Wizards' head coach and son of Wizards' Hall of Famer will attempt to get Washington their first number-one pick since 2010's John Wall. A Wembanyama selection could give this team some direction that it's struggled to find since their late 2010s Eastern Conference runs.

Dallas Mavericks (10th-best odds, 3.0%): Nico Harrison, team president & GM

On Tuesday, the Mavericks will have some front-office representation with Harrison's lottery appearance. A Dallas lottery win would be the second in team history, forming a potentially all-time great duo of Luka Doncic and Victor Wembanyama. However, if this pick falls out of the top ten, this pick will end up in the hands of the New York Knicks.

Chicago Bulls (11th-best odds, 1.8%): Dalen Terry, 2022 first-round pick

The Bulls will need some lottery luck considering if they don't move up into the top four, this pick goes to the Magic. Despite Dalen Terry's overall disappointing rookie season, he'll look to redeem himself by getting the city of Chicago yet another first-overall pick.

Oklahoma City Thunder (12th-best odds, 1.7%): Nick Collison, former player

Nick Collison is back for his second year in a row as the Thunder representative. In one year removed from drafting Chet Holgren at 2nd overall, a potential shot at Wembanyama would set up OKC with an unbelievably stellar core and inevitable dynasty.

Toronto Raptors (13th-best odds, 1.0%): Bobby Webster, team GM

The Raptors will have a front office rep, Bobby Webster come to represent Toronto despite the low chances of moving up. However, a potential addition of Wemby to this Raptors team that currently struggles to find a direction would give this team a boost in the right direction.

New Orleans Pelicans (14th-best odds, 0.5%): David Griffin, team VP of basketball ops.

The good luck charm, Pelicans' VP David Griffin, is back representing his team in the lottery. He was a part of the Cleveland Cavaliers' lottery successes and the New Orleans' jump in 2019, selecting Zion Williamson. Despite the lowest odds in the entire lottery, Griffin will still look for the longshot miracle to help the Pelicans get yet another generational prospect.
