The Utah Jazz defeated the Washington Wizards 127-115 last night at the Delta Center. This was an exciting contest, to say the least, as we witnessed multiple twists and turns from both teams throughout the night. The Wizards garnered early control of the contest and eventually led by 14 points. The Jazz seized control late in the fourth quarter and posted a double-figure victory.

The Wizards are officially the worst team in the NBA and sport an overall team record of 9-52. They have managed to drop 15 consecutive games, have decided not to implement defensive strategies, and rank last of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Jazz are 28-34 and sit 5 full games behind the Warriors for the final play-in tournament spot.

Now lets review the Winners and Losers form the contest.

JORDAN CLARKSON | WINNER

Clarkson will remember this performance for years into the future and put on a show for his home fanbase. He dropped a game-high 38 points, collected 10 rebounds, dropped seven assists, and posted the ever-looming +21 game rating.

The Wizards could not extinguish the flame while Clarkson imposed his will, particularly in the second half. He also etched his name into the Jazz history books by posting his 13th game of at least 30 points which is the most team history.

Thurl Bailey previously held the record. After struggling for the past month, Clarkson was due for a game climate change. Hopefully, he will carry positive momentum for the final 20 games.

BILAL COULIBALY | LOSER

Coulibaly played a whopping 33 minutes, scored seven points, committed three fouls, and posted a -19 game rating. Coulibaly has been labeled a great defender, which was not displayed last night. Clarkson's stats and those of other Jazz performers were unaware of his defensive presence on the court and had success from the entire playbook.

If he is the definition of a great defender, I think I will pass on viewing a lousy defender. Specific organizations such as the Wizards have a unique way of devaluing the NBA brand and allow its opposition to rack-up wins at a high rate. This young man must stop reading media clips and work on his game.

OTHER NOTABLE WINNERS

John Collins played a solid game by posting 17 points, 15 rebounds, and a career-high six blocked shots. Also, Collin Sexton dropped 29 points, along with a + 18 game rating. This further proves the Wizards are as bad as it gets in the NBA.

The Jazz will remain home for its next contest against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. MST.
