The Utah Jazz were upended by the Oklahoma City Thunder, 95-85, in Summer League action on Monday night at the Delta Center. Both teams displayed competitive energy, but the Thunder began the contest with more poise, which assisted in their victory.

Jazz Nation should feel excited about No. 16 pick Keyonte George, who stuffed the stat sheet in his debut. He led the Jazz in scoring with 18 points, and grabbed five boards, four assists, and three steals while committing only one turnover. Not too shabby for his first day on the job.

Backcourt mate Ochai Agbaji tallied 17 points, nine boards, an assist, and a blocked shot, while Micah Potter and Luka Samanic scored 10 and 13 points, respectively.

The surprise performer of the night for the Jazz was guard Taevion Kinsey. In 19 minutes of action, he scored six points, dropped three assists, and grabbed a rebound. Although the numbers were not monstrous, Kinsey seemed to grasp and execute the game plan for the Jazz. Teams are in search of unearthing a gem, especially in these Summer League games, and Kinsey fit the bill against the Thunder.

Oklahoma City saw an abundance of players be productive, led by runner-up Rookie Of The Year Jalen Williams, who scored 21 points and finished with an eye-popping +19 game rating. Chipping in with 20 points was Tre Mann, who flushed on Micah Potter in a possible dunk-of-the-year play, while center Jaylin Williams added eight points and 13 rebounds.

The long-awaited return forward Chet Holmgren yielded 15 points, nine boards, four blocks, and two assists. His numbers were good, but the physicality resulted in several trips to the floor. Holmgren must get stronger.

The game tightened in the latter part of the fourth quarter, but OKC was a bit much in closing the show. Keep in mind that the majority of the Thunder's production was provided by multiple full-time NBA starters last season.

The Jazz will test the Philadelphia 76ers also on July 5 at the Delta Center.
