Injury Report Revealed for Kings First Eastern Matchup vs. Cavaliers

In this story:
The Sacramento Kings have evened themselves out the past two games, sitting at 4-4 on the season heading into Monday night's match-up against the Cleveland Cavaliers as the Kings face an Eastern Conference opponent for the first time this season. While the Beam Team initially was 0-3 in All-NBA G De'Aaron Fox's absence, they have turned it around the past two games, winning a close game against the Portland Trail Blazers and the NBA In-season Tournament opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
While the Cavs (4-5) are off to a rough start this season as well, they are certainly a difficult opponent behind their lethal guards and solid frontcourt. The team just came off a road win against the Golden State Warriors, a team that has notably gotten the better of the Kings over the past year.
Full Kings vs. Cavaliers Injury Report 11/13
Kings:
G De'Aaron Fox - GTD (ankle)
F Trey Lyles - OUT (calf)
Cavaliers:
G Sam Merill - GTD (illness)
G Ty Jerome - OUT (ankle)
F Isaac Okoro - OUT (knee)
De'Aaron Fox has been upgraded for the first time since his injury from strictly out to a game-time decision. While Fox fully returned to practice Sunday and is showing great signs of improvement, it is a toss-up on his appearance tonight. Fox was also a full participant in Monday's shootaround. While a Fox return against the Cavs is ideal, the Kings still may lead with caution wait until Friday, November 17 as the Kings travel to Texas to take on C Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.
Sacramento Kings All-Star De’Aaron Fox is expected to return to lineup as soon as tonight vs. Cavaliers, or Wednesday at Lakers, sources tell me and @sam_amick. Fox has missed last five games due to a sprained ankle. He was a full participant in today’s shootaround.

While initially, G Davion Mitchell started in Fox's place, the past two games have seen two-way G Keon Ellis start and get significant minutes, playing 31 against the Thunder. While Ellis has proven effective beyond expectations in the past two games, another big test will play out against a frontcourt of G Darius Garland and G Donovan Mitchell in the event of Fox's absence.
Trey Lyles remains out with a calf injury that has kept him sidelined the entire year so far. While there is still no return date for Lyles, he could provide a great boost off the bench for the Kings once he returns.
The absence of Ty Jerome and Isaac Okoro has hurt the Cavs' early record undoubtedly, but they have an unsung hero in Caris LeVert off the bench, who is averaging nearly 20 points per game over the Cavs' past three.
The Kings will look to improve to 4-1 at home on Monday, as the Cavs look to expand their away record to 4-2. The matchup is set to take place at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET.
