Kings Make History in Dominant Win Over Lakers on Wednesday

The Sacramento Kings handled business against the Los Angeles Lakers Wednesday with a dominant wire-to-wire 125-110 victory. The Kings controlled the whole game, with zero lead changes and zero ties.

The Kings were led by All-Star duo C Domantas Sabonis and G De'Aaron Fox, but the most impressive might have been G Kevin Huerter.

Sabonis dominated the All-NBA big man battle against Lakers C Anthony Davis with 29 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. This marks his eighth double-double of the year, with a season-high in points and rebounds.

Fox continues to own the Lakers, dropping 28 points with five rebounds, five assists, and four steals. In his last four matchups against L.A., Fox is averaging 32.5 points and 7.0 assists per game and is 3-1 in that span.

Huerter is impressively heating up after a cold start to the season. The sharpshooter dropped 28 points and seven assists, shooting 10-16 from the field and 6-11 from deep.

The three stars on Wednesday made franchise history, marking the first time three Kings had 25+ points and 5+ assists each in the same game since the franchise moved to Sacramento.

The Kings also reached the 20-steal mark in the win, making it just the 5th time the team has reached 20+ steals in a game in franchise history and the first time since January 2001.

Sacramento finished with 20 steals tonight vs. LAL marking the fifth time the franchise has had 20+ steals in a game and the first time since Jan. 11, 2001 vs. Houston.

If the Kings can continue to play impressive all-around ball like they did Wednesday night, they might be favorites to come out of the Western Conference. Sacramento needs Huerter to keep shooting the rock at an elite level. With two 28-point performances in his last three outings, he is trending in the right direction.
