Insiders Indicate How Lakers Will Treat Free Agencies Of Rui Hachimura, Austin Reaves, Kyrie Irving

In this story:
During a recent episode of ESPN's incredibly addictive morning show "Get Up," Brian Windhorst, Kendrick Perkins and Monica McNutt all weighed in on how your Los Angeles Lakers would conduct their offseason business with regards to perhaps the three biggest names being floated their way: restricted free agents Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves, plus unrestricted free agent All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, LA star LeBron James' former teammate with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Across LA's Western Conference Finals-bound playoff run, Reaves and Hachimura emerged as the club's two most essential players not named James or Anthony Davis.
Reaves, the starting shooting guard, averaged 16.9 points on .464/.443/.895 shooting splits, 4.6 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 0.6 steals in his 16 playoff games for Los Angeles, emerging as a critical two-way threat and secondary passing option.
Hachimura, mostly off the bench, averaged 12.2 points on a superlative slash line of .557/.487/.882 shooting splits, 3.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists.
"All of the indications in what Rob Pelinka has said and what they're sort of lining up behind the scenes point to them doing exactly what Pelinka has gone on the record saying [they would do] and keep this team together," Windhorst said. "That would mean re-signing Rui Hachimura, re-signing Austin Reaves, and potentially re-signing Lonnie Walker. I do think it's a question mark about if you're going to re-sign D'Angelo Russell, what's the contract going to be?"
"As far as Kyrie goes, I think the Dallas Mavericks really do want to keep him, and they still have the positional power to pay him more money than anybody else, certainly could pay him more than the Lakers, and that has to be somewhat of an issue for Kyrie, because he asked to be traded from the Nets because of the contract offer that they gave him," Windhorst continued. "I would say that it is most likely that they do go forward with this core, and that, if I had to handicap it right now, I would say the most likely place for Kyrie Irving to be would be back in Dallas."
"I think you run it back with this group," Perkins opined. "Yeah you could add some additional pieces, go out on there on the free agency market to improve the depth of this bench... But absolutely, you've got to bring back Rui and Austin Reaves."
"I'm just glad Perk and I found a common ground this morning," McNutt joked. "I agree."
