Lakers News: Anthony Davis Outlines What LA Needs To Do To Keep Win Streak Alive

In this story:
Your Los Angeles Lakers head into tonight's matchup with the Dallas Mavericks riding high on a three-game winning streak, and got plenty of rest last night against the visiting Utah Jazz in a massive 131-99 blowout.
Even before the win over Utah, star LA center Anthony Davis recently explained what the Lakers needed to do in order to keep their winning streak alive and he kept things relatively simple. And having LeBron James dominate games doesn't hurt either.
“We keep getting you know this performance from him and then we get our three ball falling again from the rest of the team, I think we’ll be fine.”

The Lakers know how important getting a win in any game they can is, as they played catch-up in the standings all year last season. They have no interest in doing that again, so they are trying to take the regular season seriously this time around.
Anthony Davis on LeBron: “He’s playing phenomenal. His shot is falling. He’s attacking the paint. Making the right reads. He’s doing it all right now… it doesn’t feel like he’s 38.” pic.twitter.com/AQrS3o5qkE

The biggest problem for the Lakers has been their fairly infrequent three-point shooting relative to other teams (they're currently the 29th in three-point attempts per game), but they have been getting themselves good looks within games. They just have to keep playing their game, and hopefully, the shots will start falling as Davis mentioned.
The shooting has been an issue for this Lakers team for a while now, and it has caused problems on the court. If LA could even start hitting their threes at a league-average rate, things would be much easier for themselves.
Hopefully, the Lakers can continue their winning ways against Utah and they can advance in the In-Season Tournament. One of the kets will be to start the game out strong early on, so they don’t have to make another late-game comeback to win.
