Lakers News: How LA Will Handle In-Season Tournament Banner At Crypto.com Arena

In this story:
Your Los Angeles Lakers dominated the New Orleans Pelicans, 133-89, on Thursday evening as part of their Semifinal matchup in the NBA In-Season Tournament. LA will now head to the title game where they will take on the Indiana Pacers for the chance to win the first-ever event.
But even if the Los Angeles does win the NBA Cup, there are no plans to hang any banner inside Crypto.com Arena.
The Lakers have had a longstanding tradition to only hang up championship banners, and it seems that they will stay with that thought.
I’m told the Lakers currently have no plans to change their stance on only hanging banners for NBA championships. They don’t hang banners for Western Conference titles, Pacific Division titles and (for now) potential NBA In-Season Tournament titles, only NBA titles.

While winning the In-Season Tournament would be a cool accomplishment for the Lakers organization, this is the correct way to go about everything. The team has only ever raised banners for championships and that shouldn't change.
The Lakers have been very good during their In-Season Tournament games, going 6-0 up to this point. They seem motivated to win the whole thing and are just one win away from doing so.
Indiana will give them a run for their money as guard Tyrese Haliburton has been playing lights out for them lately. He will certainly give the Lakers some matchup problems, so they will need to throw multiple bodies at him.
If they can at least contain him a little bit and force others to beat them, they will have a great chance to win. But LA will need their stars to show up in this game.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis are going to be counted on big-time in this matchup, and the fate of the tournament rests in their hands. Hopefully, the Lakers can take down the Pacers and the first-ever tournament can be added to the long list of accomplishments by this historic franchise.
