He may be a bit off about the timing.

Lakers News: Skip Bayless Applauds LeBron James For "Finally" Changing Game

In this story:

All-Star Los Angeles Lakers small forward LeBron James has seen his game evolve often throughout his decorated 21-year NBA career. He was utilized on the wing during his younger, scrawnier days with the Cleveland Cavaliers (pre-free agency vintage), and often looked to pass or shoot from the midrange instead of driving inside, which he could do at will.

During the Miami Heat's run to the 2012 title, James' first of four (and... counting?), an injury to Chris Bosh necessitated the 6'9", 250-pound James shift over a position to a "small ball" power forward role, where he needed to thrive in the post while using his athleticism to essentially barrel past whoever was covering him.

From that moment on, James' game was veritably infallible, as he finally became a true inside-out player, a driver who could either force up tough buckets against triple teams or dish out the rock to an open teammate for a corner jumper or finish.

Skip Bayless of Fox Sports 1 apparently didn't get that memo. On a new edition of his show "Undisputed," the longtime sports journalist and talking head praised James for, this year, "finally" driving with frequency, a thing he's been doing for well over a decade.

"I was impressed, because he finally did what I've been banging on this desk for him to do since 2004: just put your head down and drive it, you're the best driver of the basketball I have ever seen. And you still are. Freight train! And I was so impressed."

Bayless' heart is clearly in the right place, as he has definitely prescribed the right course of action for James on the hardwood.

The thing is, James already knows to do this.
