OFFICIAL: Orlando Magic Signs G League MVP Trevelin Queen to Two-Way Contract

ORLANDO - The Orlando Magic is solidifying its two-way contracts.

The team announced on Saturday that it had signed Trevelin Queen to the team's final two-way slot, joining Kevon Harris and Admiral Schofield.

Queen, 26, averaged 21 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game while shooting 47 percent from the field in 38 G League games last season.

Having spent last season with the Indiana Pacers, Queen was on a two-way contract and appeared with the main squad for seven games. He averaged 3.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game over that span in ten minutes per contest.

Before that, Queen spent 10 games with the Houston Rockets, as mentioned. He averaged 4.3 points per game in that span on better efficiency.

Queen's performance in the team's final preseason game against Flamengo likely solidified his two-way contract. He scored a game-high 24 points on 9 of 12 shooting from the floor.

Being a rebuilding team, Queen will get another opportunity with his third team in three years, looking for a place to stick. However, the team has a solid young core with players that are establishing themselves.

In his pro years, Queen has been a very solid scorer, but that's all been at the G League level. It's time for Queen to take his talents and apply them to the NBA, because if he can utilize his scoring to take pressure off the Magic's young core, he may be able to carve himself out a small role with the team.
