Magic Starting 5: Victor Wembanyama Trade Idea

The Magic Insider lists five of the biggest NBA storylines in addition to relevant Orlando Magic news and analysis.

1. WEMBY TO MAGIC?

"In return for Wembenyama, the Magic would send the 2023 Rookie of the Year and 2022 No. 1 pick (Banchero) as well as one of the team's lottery selections from the 2021 draft (Suggs)," ESPN writes. "Throw in this year's two first-rounders and that's four top-11 selections over a three-year span for the French phenom. Banchero averaged 20.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists in his rookie season."

2. PRESEASON EASTER EGGS

The Orlando Magic has yet to release its preseason schedule, but crumbs have been left for clues.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced that they will play a pair of games against the Magic ... Tuesday, Oct. 10 in New Orleans at the following week on Oct. 17 in Orlando.

The rest of the Magic's preseason schedule should be released soon.

3. ON THIS DAY, 1995

On this day in 1995, the Orlando Magic fell to the Indiana Pacers 105-100 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Penny Hardaway led all scorers with 29 points, but Reggie Miller and the Pacers proved to be too much.

The Magic went on to win the series in seven games.

4. CELTICS vs. HEAT GAME 6

"The exciting NBA Eastern Conference Finals of 2023 have given fans plenty of incentive to stay engaged and participate in betting activities. The Miami Heat, on their surprising run, got a major upset by starting the series with a 3-0 lead.

"As the series shifted to Miami for Games 3-4, where the Celtics could have been swept out of the playoffs, the Celtics started playing like the team we’ve come to expect and have now won two in a row."

Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on TNT.

5. DRAFT COUNTDOWN

The Orlando Magic is 26 days away from the 2023 NBA Draft, where the team will welcome the newest members of the franchise.

Coverage begins on June 22 at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
