With all of the moves that happened around the league this offseason, early season scouting might be harder than it already is at the beginning of every season. But the Orlando Magic is aware of this and seems ready for the challenge.

At the end of each season, every team has had a chance to get to know all of the other teams that they have played, as they have met more than once in the regular season. But that all goes away at the beginning of each season, and each team has to start from scratch.

Even if certain teams haven't made any trades or free agent signings in the offseason, they could still have changed their game plan or offensive scheme, so scouting always has two start over. Magic forward Joe Ingles talked more about the team's approach to this early season scouting in an interview.

"Yeah, the study is always a bit tougher," Ingles said. "You kind of figure things out on the fly, and we've got to be able to adjust quarter to quarter, half to half and obviously game by game at the start of the year."

The Magic seem to be doing something right, as the team has started the season with back-to-back wins the Houston Rockets and the Portland Trail Blazers, two teams who have very different rosters from last year.

The Magic will have another chance to prove how well it has been scouting as the team goes up against the Los Angeles Lakers, who also have their fair share of new players. Tipoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. from Crypto.com Arena.
