Mavs Ex Chandler Parsons: It's 'Exhausting Watching Same S***' with Luka Doncic

Although former Dallas Mavericks' forward Chandler Parsons said Luka Doncic is an "unbelievable talent," he followed it up with some harsh assumptions about how the five-time All-Star's teammates might feel.

No matter how good Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is, there will always be critics of the way he plays the game. Fresh off making NBA history and become the first player to ever post four consecutive 35-point triple-doubles in the Dallas' clutch win over the Miami Heat on Thursday, Doncic received criticism from a former player many Mavs fans know well.

On Friday's episode of Run It Back, former Mavs forward Chandler Parsons acknowledged how much of an "unbelievable talent" Doncic is, but he also made an assumption about how Doncic's teammates might feel about playing with him.

All-star weekend (13)

"I think [Luka Doncic] is an unbelievable talent, he's literally a guard version of [Nikola] Jokic, where he can do anything," Parsons said. "But as a teammate, it's a little exhausting watching the same s*** over and over again."

Given how many of Doncic's teammates, including his co-star Kyrie Irving, have had nothing but glowing things to say about him, it seems as if Parsons' statement is baseless. Yes, Doncic scores a lot – he's the league's leading scorer, averaging 34.6 points per game, and the Mavs absolutely need him to be – but he also does an incredible job keeping his teammates involved, as he ranks third in the league by averaging 9.8 assists per game.

"I respect that kid, and how he goes about his business every day, and even if he's on a bad wheel, he still plays," Irving said of Doncic. "You have to really give credit to a guy like that. Setting records and being his teammate; it's a pleasure, man. It's an honor. It makes the game easier. And I know he has the same things to say about me, about making the game easier for one another."

With all due respect to Parsons, we're going to take Irving's word on this particular matter over his.
