The Dallas Mavericks officially announced their 2019 preseason schedule on Monday afternoon. Their preseason schedule consists of five games total, and all the games will be televised.

The Mavs will get things underway in Tulsa, Oklahoma against Chris Paul and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, October 8th. On Wednesday, October 9th, the Mavs will travel to Detroit to take on Blake Griffin and the Pistons on the second night of a back-to-back. It's somewhat unusual to see a team start the preseason with a back-to-back, especially on the road, but it could potentially present some opportunities for some of the Mavs fringe-roster players to show what they can do.

On Friday, October 11th, the Mavs will play their preseason home opener against reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. This will complete a stretch where the Mavs play three games in four nights, which, again, should provide them with more opportunities to give minutes to a lot of different guys.

After a three-day layoff, the Mavs play the Thunder one more time on Monday, October 14th, this time at home, before finishing things up against Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and the newly star-studded Los Angeles Clippers in Vancouver, Canada.

Although preseason games don't hold a lot of weight, Mavs fans everywhere will be tuned in to get their first glimpse of young stars Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis playing together. For Porzingis, this would be his first time playing competitive NBA basketball in nearly 20 months, so it will be intriguing to see just how much rust, if any, he'll need to knock off.
