Former Nuggets Player Makes Bold Team USA Statement

In this story:
During a recent podcast episode for The Ringer, former Denver Nuggets guard Austin Rivers spoke the dominance Team USA could have if they sent their best players. When asked for his Team USA starting lineup, Rivers named Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Anthony Davis.
Rivers also spoke on the depth that team could have, with stars like Jimmy Butler buying into specific roles that are currently being played by players like Josh Hart. Of course not showing any disrespect to the current roster, Rivers would like to see USA send their best, and said they would beat everyone by 50 points if they did that.
"We're winning every game by 50, bro!

This was a bold statement from Rivers, but it's one that's hard to argue with. While so many of the NBA's best stars are from outside of the United States, they are spread across several different countries. If every team sent their best, the United States would of course be challenged by Serbia with Nikola Jokic, Greece with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Slovenia with Luka Doncic, and others, those teams aren't able to put together as much star power as Team USA can. Because of this, Rivers feels the Unites States could truly dominate.
It will be interesting to see which stars commit for the Olympics, especially after so many of them did not participate in the World Cup.
