NBA Champion Makes Incredible Statement About Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic sees the game in a way that amazes other players.

When Nikola Jokic plays basketball, it feels like he sees the game in a way that no one else can. It's not just fans that think this either, other NBA players feel the same way.

3x NBA Champion Javale McGee has both played with Nikola Jokic and played against him. When McGee was a guest on the All The Smoke Podcast, he gave an incredible observation he witnessed while teammates with Jokic.

"A real beast," McGee said. "He's got it all man. His pace is so slow, you think where's this coming from? I feel like he sees the game at a slower pace than the rest of us. They say cats see in 60 frames per second or something, so when y'all moving, the cat already knows where you're going. I feel like he sees in a different frame per second or something. He'll literally euro-step you and wait while you're in the air, throw in the floater, shake you, pump fake, and no facial expressions at the same time. Don't look tired or anything."

When McGee was on the Denver Nuggets in 2021, he witnessed firsthand just how much work put into Nikola Jokic's MVP season. In that season, Jokic averaged 26.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 8.3 assists. After every game, McGee saw Jokic do one thing that no one expected - lift weights.

"After those games, he'll get 30 and 15, and he'll go lift after," McGee said. "He lifts after every game, heavy too. He deserves all the glory he's getting for sure."

While fans like to poke fun at Nikola Jokic's weight, it's very clear that he's got himself into much better shape in the last two seasons. It didn't happen by accident, it happened through hard work.
