Nikola Jokic's Updated Injury Status vs. Pelicans Revealed

After initially being unlisted on the injury report for Monday night's game vs. the New Orleans Pelicans, Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic has received an update injury status. Per the latest edition of the injury report, Jokic is now probable with right wrist inflammation.

While this is technically a downgraded status for Jokic from available to probable, it still seems likely that he will play. Always durable, Jokic rarely misses games, and it seems he should be available for this one based upon his probable listing. That said, there is clearly something going on with Jokic's wrist in order for him to be added to the injury report.

Jokic and the Nuggets have gotten off to a great start to the season, which not everyone saw coming after how their summer went. Already with a shortened offseason due to being the champions, Denver also spent much of their summer celebrating. This led some to believe they could start the season slow, but they have picked up right where they left off.

Facing a tough Pelicans team on Monday, the Nuggets will have to be locked in against their athleticism and size. This is something the Nuggets are built for, but it's always a challenge when going up against Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and the rest of New Orleans' squad.

The Nuggets and Pelicans will begin at 9:00 PM EST.
