Denver Nuggets Reportedly Make New Signing

In this story:
According to Keith Smith of Spotrac, the Denver Nuggets have signed undrafted guard Souley Boum to a non-guaranteed training camp deal. Boum played five collegiate seasons, starting with the San Francisco Dons before playing three seasons with the UTEP Miners, and his final season at Xavier.
In his final collegiate season, Boum averaged 16.4 PPG, 4.3 RPG and 4.3 APG in 35.2 minutes per contest. Boum really emerged as a scoring threat during his time at UTEP, averaging 19.8 PPG in his final season there. A 6'3" guard, Boum earned 2022-23 All-Big East first team honors, which came after All-CUSA team selections the two years prior.
While Boum likely won't make Denver's team out of camp, just due to the current roster situation for the defending champions, this is still a great opportunity for him to showcase his ability while also learning from several great players and coaches. Training camp deals allow players like Boum to make positive impressions on their teammates and coaches, which could benefit them down the line even they don't break camp with a roster spot.
While the Nuggets lost some key contributors this offseason, they still project to enter next season with one of the most complete rosters in the NBA. Expected by many to be the best team in basketball again next season, the Nuggets will look to defend their first title in franchise history.
