Denver Nuggets Star Reveals Truth About Trae Young

In this story:
In an exclusive interview with Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks earlier this offseason, Denver Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr. spoke about Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young. Having played with young in AAU ball, Porter is very close with the star point guard, and revealed the truth about what type of person he is.
"He's another one of those guys that's just gonna be himself unapologetically," Porter said of Young. "But like he doesn't wanna play a villain role. He's one of the nicest dudes, most genuine dudes, like the whole playoffs he was texting me after every game... Trae is a great dude. Comes from a good family, one of my best friends in the league. I don't really know why he got misunderstood, but that dude - he's a good dude, and he's also underrated at this point. People don't realize how good Trae is. He led the league in points and assists and he wasn't an All-Star, I don't see how that happens."
Young became somewhat of a villain during that playoff series win over the New York Knicks, but that was simply him vs. the New York fans. As Porter mentioned, Young doesn't want to be seen as a villain, and has really given fans - outside of those in New York, no real reason to view him that way.
