Nikola Jokic Could Make History vs. Mavericks

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic recently tied Los Angels Lakers star LeBron James and NBA legend Jason Kidd in career triple-doubles, and could take sole possession of fourth all-time in that category with a triple-double in his next game. Set to face the Dallas Mavericks in the in-season tournament group play on Friday, Jokic could make history in this game.

While Jokic is not concerned with triple-doubles or any individual stats, racking up triple-doubles has become a regular occurrence for him. Points and rebounds are easy to come by for Jokic, but his play style also allows for a lot of assists. Unselfish and also the facilitator for what Denver does offensively, Jokic tallies a lot of triple-doubles, and could certainly get one against the Mavericks on Friday.

Passing LeBron James in any statistical category is a major accomplishment, but especial for someone like Jokic who is still just 28 years old. Still with several prime years ahead of him, Jokic can set a lot of records with the pace he is on. That said, the Nuggets star is only concerned about winning, which has always been his focus.
