Nikola Jokic Reacts to Passing LeBron James in Triple-Doubles

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic overtook LeBron James and Jason Kidd for 4th all-time in triple-doubles, notching the 108th one of his career on Monday night. Speaking on the accomplishment after the game, Jokic initially only mentioned Kidd, because he said James is still playing and will likely get some more.

"The guy is still playing, I think he is gonna have a couple more," Jokic said of passing James on the all-time triple-double list.

Not wanting to speak much on passing an active player, Jokic recognizes James will likely get more triple-doubles between now and the end of this career. That said, it's certainly reasonable to assume that Jokic will quickly create separation between himself and James on this list, considering the rate at which the Nuggets star is tallying triple-doubles.

It was a fun postgame media session for Jokic, who played around with reporters by answering the questions he knew they were going to ask before they actually asked them. One of these was of course the question about passing James and Kidd in career triple-doubles, which Jokic mostly downplayed, especially as it pertains to James.

Never too interested in his individual accomplishments, Jokic just wants to keep winning games, which the Nuggets have done an an elite level to start the season. Looking to defend their title, Denver looks great so far.
