The Denver Nuggets are set to play their second preseason game on Thursday evening, and it will come against the Chicago Bulls. While the status of Jamal Murray remains probable, Finals MVP Nikola Jokic is currently listed as available for Denver.

Rarely injured, there is no concern about the health of Jokic at this point in the preseason, but star players often miss one or two preseason games each year. As of right now, Jokic is listed as available for Thursday night's game vs. Chicago. Having played very little basketball this summer, the preseason is an opportunity for Jokic to get back up to game speed. It was a much different offseason for Jokic and the Nuggets than what they are used to, so there will be a bit of an adjustment period as they ramp things up.

Having a shorter offseason because of their championship run, the Nuggets also spent quite a bit of time celebrating this summer. That is very understandable, but it also puts them a bit behind schedule as far as ramping up for the season is concerned. Because of this, it would make sense for Jokic to get as many reps as possible in the preseason before the real games again.

While these injury reports are subject to change, Jokic is expected to be available for this game vs. Chicago.
