The Denver Nuggets are set to face off against the Phoenix Suns on Friday night, but they will not have to deal with star guard Bradley Beal, who remains sidelined with a back injury. Beal has played in just three games for Phoenix this season, having battled this injury to start the year.

The Suns made the big splash this offseason to acquire Beal after making the big splash last season to acquire Kevin Durant. Pairing Beal with Durant and Devin Booker, Phoenix became the favorites many places to win the Western Conference, with some even putting them over the defending champion Denver Nuggets after the Beal move.

This dominant Suns team on paper has yet to translate to the court, as injuries to Beal and Booker have really limited what this team is supposed to be. That said, the Suns are optimistic that this group can go the distance if healthy, they just have to get everyone back on the court.

For Denver, this will still be a tough test against Durant and the rest of the Suns, as Phoenix has been playing better as of late, winning seven of their last 10 games. What many believe will be a Western Conference Finals preview, the Nuggets will look to take care of business against this shorthanded Suns group on Friday night in Phoenix.
