NBA Announces Celebrity All-Star Game Rosters

NBA announces celebrity All-Star Game rosters featuring Simu Liu, Albert Pujols, DK Metcalf, Dwyane Wade, Calvin Johnson, Ryan Smith, and more

Canadian actor Simu Liu will headline the list of 24 celebrities chosen to participate in the NBA's Celebrity All-Star Game later this month in Salt Lake City.

Liu joins Dwyane Wade's team alongside Nicky Jam (Latin global music icon and actor), Jesser (content creator), Hasan Minhaj (comedian), DK Metcalf (Seattle Seahawks receiver), Janelle Monáe (actress, singer, songwriter), Arike Ogunbowale (WNBA All-Star for the Dallas Wings), 21 Savage (rapper, recording artist), Ranveer Singh (actor and NBA Brand Ambassador for India), Frances Tiafoe (tennis player), and Alex Toussaint (Peloton coach and Puma athlete).

Team Wade will be coached by Giannis Antetokounmpo, his brothers Thanasis and Alex, and Olympic Medalist Lindsey Vonn. 

Team Ryan will be coached by Basketball Hall of Famer and Two-time WNBA Champion Lisa Leslie, rapper and actor Fat Joe, as well as Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman. Utah Jazz governor and minority owner Ryan Smith will captain the team featuring Kane Brown (5-time American Music Award winner), Cordae (rapper, recording artist), Diamond DeShields (WNBA All-Star; Phoenix Mercury), Calvin Johnson (former NFL player), Marcos Mion (TV host), The Miz (WWE Superstar), Albert Pujols (MLB Player), Everett Osborne (actor), Ozuna (rapper, recording artist), Guillermo Rodriguez (ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live correspondent), and Sinqua Walls (actor).

Throughout the game, players from both teams will compete in gameplay activations, including shooting from "4-Point Line," to raise up to $100,000 to benefit 5 For The Fight Cancer Research Internship in partnership with Howard University.
