Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs Preseason Preview: How to Watch, Lineups, Injury Report, More

In this story:
The 2-0 Houston Rockets will continue their five-game preseason schedule Monday night against the 1-1 San Antonio Spurs. The game will mark the first of a two-game series in San Antonio.
The Rockets are entering the Frost Bank Center with the league's second-best defense in the preseason. Houston has held their opponents to an average of 95.0 points while possessing the league's second-best defense with a defensive net rating of 91.3.
"Just look at how hard we play and how good our wings are defensively," Jock Landale said. "They take a lot of pressure off us as bigs, which is always the key to a good defense. You can rely on someone to block shots all night long. But our wings are just so talented defensively."
Jabari Smith Jr. added: "Defense is all about effort. It's about 75 percent effort. You have to want to do it. And with the rest, it's about being in the right spots and getting there early."
Coach Ime Udoka announced Sunday afternoon that Jalen Green will miss the first game against the Spurs due to a "toenail problem." The Spurs announced that No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama will be sidelined due to rest.
