In this story:

The Phoenix Suns are once again over .500!

The Suns went 3-0 in the past week, having beaten the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz twice to move to 7-6 on the season.

While the Suns are once again looking better and are eyeing a consistent stretch of winning basketball, there are both positive and not-so-great things that can be taken from this past week.

Three things to reflect on and watch out for moving forward:

Suns Offense Clicking on All Cylinders

The Suns have shot up many offensive metric lists in the past week.

The team was top three in nearly every offensive category in the three contests this week behind Devin Booker's playmaking wizardry and Kevin Durant's vintage shot-making.

Phoenix also received meaningful contributions from players such as Eric Gordon, Grayson Allen, and even Nassir Little.

The Suns are finally starting to show how devastating this offense can be, even in the absence of Bradley Beal.

Expect the Phoenix offense to continue to coast, assuming the health of Durant and Booker.

Defense... Not So Much

On the flip side, the Suns' defense was dead last in efficiency in the past three games.

The defense had largely overachieved to begin the season, and it appears as if the strong defensive performances from early in the year are evening out recently.

Phoenix now ranks 20th in points allowed per game, which is still higher than was anticipated, but isn't ideal at the moment after the top-15 start.

The Suns still have potential on the defensive end despite the rough week, possessing impact defenders such as Drew Eubanks and Jordan Goodwin, but this is a topic of discussion that needs to continue to be looked at closely.

Vogel Continues to Impress

Frank Vogel is "only" 7-6 in his short tenure as the Suns head man, but the former title-winning coach has impressed despite the record.

The most impressive aspect of Vogel's start to leading the team continues to be adaptability.

This trend can even be traced back as recently as last night, where Vogel made a bold move to re-insert the struggling Nassir Little back into the Phoenix lineup in place of the injured Yuta Watanabe.

The decision paid off.

Little scored 10 points and blocked three shots while hitting two big three-pointers in the win against Utah. The recently acquired forward also happened to finish as a +2 in his 20 minutes of action, truly proving that he made a winning impact.

The little things such as being flexible with rotations on a game-to-game basis is what separates Vogel from past leaders of the Suns locker room. Vogel knows he has 10 or more capable NBA players and isn't afraid to switch it up when needed.

This hire looks quite good so far.
