Suns Forward Cam Johnson Set to Return Thursday vs. Nets

After missing 39 games due to a torn meniscus, Phoenix Suns power forward Cam Johnson will make his return to the lineup.

The Phoenix Suns seem to finally have positive news coming their way.

Cam Johnson is expected to return to the Suns lineup tomorrow against the Brooklyn Nets after being sidelined for 39 games due to a torn meniscus.

Johnson suffered this injury on Nov. 4 which resulted in the 26-year-old having to go through a surgery that removed part of his right meniscus. While Johnson was originally only expected to miss 1-2 months, he ultimately sat out for over two months.

The return of Johnson comes at a perfect time for Phoenix who are missing Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Cameron Payne.

Phoenix has also dropped out of the playoffs as they are now the twelfth seed in the Western Conference with a record of 21-24.

With so many players injured, Johnson will surely add a much needed offensive spark to the Suns roster. In his eight games played this season, Johnson averaged 13 points which should go up with the absence of Booker and Paul.

The return of Johnson also allows for Dario Saric/Torrey Craig to move back to the bench which will bring much more balance to a thin rotation that has been extremely inconsistent.

The big question now is: Will Johnson play a part in turning the season around?
