In this story:

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns have settled into a strong position despite a rocky start.

After the All-Star beak, the Suns are sitting at 33-22 and in fifth place in the West.

With 27 games remaining - the majority of which are against upper-level playoff teams - the remaining schedule will be a true litmus test of what this team is made of.

Three things the Suns can accomplish that will be quite difficult to do:

Four Suns Make 175+ Threes

This may not be super bold at the surface - Kevin Durant has made 108 threes this season, Devin Booker has knocked down 99, and the Eric Gordon/Grayson Allen duo have hit 116/123 threes, respectively.

The boldness of this prediction is the general inconsistency in three-point volume on the Suns' part, along with unpredictable fortune when it comes to health.

Gordon and Allen could both be in the ballpark of 200 made in a season - the former of which was a bold prediction from this site prior to the start of the season.

This level of firepower from the Suns' perimeter attack could be a sign of what's to come in the postseason.

Suns Finish With 55 wins

The Suns will need to finish 22-5 to achieve this feat, for reference.

This may seem incredibly unlikely with the aforementioned schedule - it happens to be the toughest in the NBA, but the Suns have also been playing like one of the best teams in the NBA over the last month-plus and it doesn't feel inconceivable that they can win every remaining game on paper.

Phoenix obviously is very unlikely to win out, but the additions of Royce O'Neale, Thad Young, and potentially even mixing David Roddy into the equation increases the flexibility of the roster exponentially.

This is a bold prediction for a reason, but it doesn't seem undoable at this juncture. The Suns' only remaining losses happen to be to the Celtics, Cavaliers, Clippers, and Nuggets.

Suns Finish With Top-Three Seed

This goes hand-in-hand with the previous prediction.

The Suns are very likely to draw an unexpected top-three seed if they are to win 55 games this season.

This would be an all-time great rebound, as the Suns still trail the 3-seeded Clippers by four games with less than 30 games remaining for virtually every team.

The good thing is Phoenix has two dates apiece with every single team in the top 4- Denver, Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, and Minnesota.

This is an absolute prime opportunity for Phoenix to gain ground while also proving they belong in title contender conversations - and they will accomplish both over the final two months of the 2023-24 NBA season.
