Injury Report: Thunder Preparing to Face Halliburton-less Pacers

With five games remaining Oklahoma City is in need of a strong finish with their final stretch beginning on the road Friday against Indiana.

Oklahoma City’s games continue to get more important with each game.

Entering Friday the Thunder have five games remaining this season, and will need to continue to win games in the stretch to keep their season going into the postseason. Oklahoma City will visit the Pacers, a team that is also looking to go on a win streak to attempt to squeeze into the play-in game. The Pacers are on the outside of the play-in standings in the Eastern Conference, while OKC is currently in the play-in in the Western Conference.

The Thunder have been without their All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for their past two games seeing Oklahoma City go 1-1 in those games. Gilgeous-Alexander continues to recover from an ankle injury, but has been upgraded to available for OKC’s Friday night game.

The Pacers will be without key pieces for the contest, including Tyrese Haliburton who will miss the game with elbow and ankle injuries.

The Thunder will lean heavily on Jalen Williams and Josh Giddey to help SGA as he ramps back up to a full workload. Here are the most recent injury reports for both squads entering tonight:

Oklahoma City Thunder:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Available: Left Ankle Sprain

Lindy Waters: Available: Left Foot Plantar Fasciitis

Chet Holmgren: Out: Right foot surgery

Kenrich Williams: Out: Left Wrist Scapholunate Rupture

Indiana Pacers:

Chris Duarte: Out: Left Ankle Soreness

Tyrese Haliburton: Out: Right Ankle Sprain, Sore Left Elbow

Tip-off for the Pacers and Thunder is slated for 6 p.m. in Indiana, the Thunder are currently four-point favorites.
