The Oklahoma City Thunder has announced its signing of Olivier Sarr to the team's third two-way contract roster spot. They're now done making any additions on two-way deals, as Keyontae Johnson and Lindy Waters III fill the other two available spots.

With training camp looming, the team isn't finished making roster moves. The Thunder still have 18 players on standard contracts, which leaves them with 21 rostered players, the most they can hold in the offseason. Three players on standard contracts will be cut or waived ahead of the regular season.

Sarr joins the team with enough time to gear up for training camp with the team and begin to build chemistry and work out in Oklahoma City.

Having spent two seasons in the NBA, the only real on-court action the Kentucky product has seen has come with Oklahoma City. He's appeared in 31 games and three starts, all with the Thunder.

The other team Sarr has spent time with has been the Portland Trail Blazers, where he spent two months last season before being cut.

The 24-year-old is a 7-footer that provides legitimate frontcourt depth for the Thunder, who saw the position be riddled with injuries a season ago. In his two-year career, Sarr averages 6.1 points per game and four rebounds per game. He shoots 56 percent from the field and 38 percent from beyond the arc on a small sample size.

While providing insurance for the frontcourt, Sarr will also play a large part in the development side of things. With the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder's G League affiliate, Sarr will spend time with Johnson and Waters, the other two-way guys, and other young prospects not earning much time -- some examples being Ousmane Dieng and Tre Mann.

Sarr's brother, Alex, currently plays in the NBL and is a highly touted prospect for the 2024 NBA Draft. The 7-foot-1 big man is a mobile center from France.
