Thunder Summer League Preview: Las Vegas Schedule and Roster

Oklahoma City is set to play five games in Las Vegas over the next 10 days.

The Oklahoma City Thunder looked great in Salt Lake City this week, winning two of their three contests. Those two victories were convincing as well, putting the game away fairly early. Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams looked every bit capable of being key pieces of a team with playoff aspirations this season. Another crucial piece in Utah was Tre Mann, who has big season upcoming. He was arguably the best overall player through three games at the event.

Now, Oklahoma City will pivot to its next summer league, this time in Las Vegas. This is the biggest event of the summer for young players and will feature the future faces of the league. Cason Wallace will make his Thunder debut, while Holmgren and others look to continue shining.

Taking place in two arenas — Thomas & Mack Center as well as Cox Pavilion — in Las Vegas, all 30 teams will compete from July 7-17.

Schedule

  • Saturday, July 8: Dallas Mavericks - 2:30pm CST
  • Tuesday, July 11: Houston Rockets - 5:30pm CST
  • Wednesday, July 12: Indiana Pacers - 6:30pm CST
  • Friday, July 14: Washington Wizards - 4:00pm CST

All games will be nationally televised on NBA TV, ESPN 2 or ESPN U. After these four games, a fifth will be scheduled by the NBA based on record. The top four teams will enter a playoff pool with the chance to play a sixth game in the championship. Everyone else will play their fifth game outside of the playoffs.

Once this Las Vegas circuit ends, the Thunder won’t play again until the preseason. Around that time, tough roster decisions will be made. As such, this is a critical time for the players taking the floor over the next 10 days.
