Injury Report: Gilgeous-Alexander Remains Out, Enters Health and Safety Protocols

In this story:
The injuries next to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s name continues to grow as he’s expected to miss his third straight game for Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
Without Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder have continued to drop in the Western Conference as they continue to search for their first win after the All-Star Break. The Thunder have dropped three-straight, two without their star guard. With the short losing streak after the break, the Thunder are now 13th in the Western Conference, though the games have remained close.
The Thunder have continued to deal with key injuries and absences this season. The bad injury luck began before the season began with Chet Holmgren injuring his foot in a pro-am game. From there key starters have missed chunks of time, including Aleksej Pokusevski who remains out due to a significant leg injury.
OKC has impressed people this season exceeding win expectations, but now sit in an interesting position where they can either fight for lottery position or battle for a play-in spot. Though the play-in chances dwindle with each game SGA misses as he’s been the key piece to OKC this season.
On Tuesday, OKC will battle the Kings for a second straight game, and the Kings enter the game fairly healthy, though De’Aaron Fox is listed as questionable with a wrist injury. His availability is crucial for Sacramento.
Here are the most recent injury reports for both squads entering tonight:
Oklahoma City Thunder:
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Out: Abdominal Strain/ Health and Safety Protocols
Chet Holmgren: Out: Right foot surgery
Aleksej Pokusevski: Out: Left Tibial Plateau nondisplaced fracture
Ousmane Dieng: Out: G League On Assignment
Olivier Sarr: Out: G League Two-Way
Lindy Waters: Out: G League On Assignment
Sacramento Kings:
De’Aaron Fox: Questionable: Right Wrist Soreness
Keon Ellis: Out: G League Two-Way
Neemias Queta: Out: G League Two-Way
Tip-off for the Kings and Thunder is slated for 7 p.m. in Sacramento, the Kings are currently 3-point favorites.
