Farewell, 2023. The Oklahoma City Thunder is looking to close the year out strong, as it's been an eventful 365 days for the squad. After the calendar year began, the Thunder began to emerge as a franchise. They've played 76 games this year, going 46-30 in those games. They're 21-9 to start this season and absolutely rolling.

The Thunder looks to end the year just as good as it's started and gone, as they host the Brooklyn Nets for a New Year's Eve battle. Coming off some big wins, the Thunder looks to continue building momentum to take into 2024 as they're the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.

Injury Report

Thunder:

Ousmane Dieng, OUT (G League)

Keyontae Johnson, OUT (G League)

Nets:

Nic Claxton, Probable (Illness)

Noah Clowney, OUT (G League)

Keon Johnson, OUT (G League)

Ben Simmons, OUT (Back)

Lonnie Walker IV, OUT (Hamstring)

With Claxton probable, there are no fresh injuries to the Nets squad that will change this game in a big way, so they'll be able to approach this game looking to upset the Thunder, who come into this game fully healthy.

Updated Odds

The Thunder are 7.5-point favorites over the Nets. They're proving to be a difficult team to guard. Even if Mikal Bridges draws the assignment of guarding Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and does so well, the Thunder has too many players capable of dissecting the rest of the defense.

The Thunder seems to bring more star power and depth into this game, and if they play similarly to how they did in Denver against the defending champions a couple of nights back, covering this game as heavy favorites will be no sweat.

With a 15-17 record, the Nets are 6-9 on the road and will be in a tough environment tonight as the Paycom Center should be rocking for a New Year's Eve matchup.
