In this story:

Coming out of the NBA All-Star break, the Oklahoma City Thunder are in a good spot. They’re just one game under .500 and currently in the play-in picture.

With a great season like this also comes the chance to win individual awards. While there is a scenario in which nobody in Oklahoma City takes home one of the few awards given out by the NBA this season, there’s several that aren’t outside of the realm of possibility.

Let’s take a look at all of the awards that members of the Thunder currently have a shot at in order of probability according to Vegas.

Most Improved Player

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: +130 (2nd)

It’s no surprise that Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the favorites for this award given his ascension to stardom this season. He’ll need to show even more improvement down the stretch to take home the hardware, but this is the most likely award of any member the Thunder roster.

Clutch Player of the Year

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: +250 (3rd)

Yet another award Gilgeous-Alexander is in the running for is the most clutch player in the league. This is the first time this award will be given out, and he’s been one of the best in the league down the stretch thus far.

Coach of the Year

Mark Daigneault: +2500 (12th)

It’s highly impressive that Daigneault is in the top half of the NBA for this award given the expectations coming into the season. Oklahoma City would have to shock the world the rest of the way to really get him in the running, but this is high praise for the young coach nonetheless.

Defensive Player of the Year

Lu Dort: +10000 (15th)

Although he’s missed time due to injury, Dort continues to be one of the most impactful perimeter defenders in the NBA. He’s a huge reason why the Thunder have a top ten defense in the league this season.

Rookie of the Year

Jalen Williams: +15000 (5th)

The only reason Williams doesn’t have better odds here is because Paolo Banchero essentially has the award on lock. Outside of him, the first year guard has been one of the four best players in this class.

Most Valuable Player

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: +25000 (11th)

This is another award in which the Thunder would have to do something ridiculous down the stretch for him to get consideration. This is an award that generally goes to a player on a team with one of the best records in the NBA.
