With the last few games being all that remain for the Oklahoma City Thunder, they took on a very good Golden State Warriors team on Tuesday night. Golden State was able to take care of business within the final minutes of the game, outlasting the Thunder, 136-125, and winning the fourth quarter 34-19.

For the Thunder, it was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the charge, to no one’s surprise. He scored 32 points on 11-of-17 shooting. He knocked down two of his four 3-pointer attempts and pulled down five boards while dishing seven assists.

Gilgeous-Alexander’s game had the Thunder neck-and-neck with the Warriors all game, and even helped the team get off to a good start. Being a seasoned team in these circumstances, though, it was going to take more than that for the Thunder to take care of business.

Jalen Williams was also a big part of why the Thunder were able to take a lead through the first half. He scored 14 of his points in the first half, though he only finished with 19 points. If he could have maintained his elite offense he was putting together in the first half, the Thunder would’ve been in a better position come late game.

The same went for Lu Dort, who had 11 first-half points. He finished with 17 points in the game, but shot 0-of-6 on 3-pointers.

Off the bench for the Thunder, Isaiah Joe was a bright spot. He shot 4-of-8 from the field and 2-of-3 on 3-pointers.

Even with some solid offensive games all around, the Warriors late push in the game proved to be too much. Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole combined for 64 points in Klay Thompson’s absence.

Falling to 38-42 on the season, the Thunder have just two games remaining on their schedule. They next take on the Utah Jazz, then the Memphis Grizzlies in their season finale.
