Thunder Smoke Warriors 120-92

The Oklahoma City Thunder Picked up their first win of the season with a 120-92 victory over Golden State. And for at least one game, the Thunder found a cure for their lack of offense.

After shooting less than 40 percent in their first two games, the Oklahoma City Thunder found some rhythm against a depleted Golden State Warriors team who is still in search of its first win of the season. Oklahoma City not only shot 55 percent from the floor they also had five players in double figures (Paul, Ferguson, Gilgeous-Alexander, Gallinari, and Schroder) 

Schroder came off the bench to lead the way with a 22 point outburst. Schroder says, " I made a shot. I didn't shoot very well in the first two games, but I tried to stay aggressive, make the right decisions, and I think everyone else had a great game as well, and that's what matters." 

 Steven Adams's lack of production is still an issue for the Thunder. Adams finished the day with a season-high eight points, which is a far cry from the fourteen he was averaging last year. Billy Donovan is confident that Adams can come out of his early-season slump if the team can continue to put him in a position to finish at the rim. 

 Nerlens Noel, who was thought to be in Donovan's dog house, was on the floor for almost 15 minutes, while not a massive part of the offense he was efficient going three of four from the field and grabbing four rebounds.

Hamidou Diallo was showing no ill effects from a left ankle injury, Diallo logged close to 13 minutes, and scored eight points.  

 •Quick Notes

•Mike Muscala only played 7:45 in today's game after playing 11 minutes vs. the Wizards and 15 against the Jazz. The Safe opinion here is that Donovan is still not sure what he has with this roster and where exactly everyone fits. 

•Chris Paul doesn't seem to be stressing over his first trip back to Houston as a Thunder. Paul said after the game; he'll check on his house and family but didn't seem to think this game was different than the others.

•Chirs Paul says the Thunder are still searching for their identity on both offense and defense. 

 

•Oklahoma City outscored Golden State in the second quarter 35-17.
