USA 2023 FIBA Mens World Cup Roster

In this story:
The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 is set to take place on Aug. 25 with 32 countries from around the world being represented. The tournament itself will go until Sept. 10, with matchups being held in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.
While there's many players across the NBA set to compete for their home country, the United States has officially released its 11-man roster. This squad may not feature any superstar talent, but should still be extremely competitive in the event.
As it relates to the Oklahoma City Thunder, many of their players will be taking the floor for other countries, most notably Canada and Australia. However, nobody on the current OKC roster is on the USA roster.
- Mikal Bridges (Brooklyn Nets)
- Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks)
- Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves)
- Tyrese Haliburton (Sacramento Kings)
- Josh Hart (New York Knicks)
- Brandon Ingram (New Orleans Pelicans)
- Jaren Jackson Jr. (Memphis Grizzlies)
- Cam Johnson (Brooklyn Nets)
- Walker Kessler (Utah Jazz)
- Bobby Portis (Milwaukee Bucks)
- Austin Reaves (Los Angeles Lakers)
With that in mind, 14 players were selected to the 2023 USA Basketball Men’s Select Team that will train with the above 11 players ahead of the event. This 14-man group is comprised of 11 current NBA players, along with three veteran players with NBA, NBA G League, international and USA Basketball experience. Among this group is two rising Thunder stars in Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren.
- Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons)
- Jalen Duren (Detroit Pistons)
- Jalen Green (Houston Rockets)
- Quentin Grimes (New York Knicks)
- Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City Thunder)
- Herb Jones (New Orleans Pelicans)
- Trey Murphy (New Orleans Pelicans)
- Keegan Murray (Sacramento Kings)
- Payton Pritchard (Boston Celtics)
- Naz Reid (Minnesota Timberwolves)
- Jalen Williams (Oklahoma City Thunder)
- John Jenkins (G League Ignite)
- Eric Mika (G League Ignite)
- Langston Galloway (Free Agent)
While Williams and Holmgren aren't currently set to take the floor for the United States as of today, if one of the 11 Team USA members cannot suit up for any reason, players from the Select Team can be promoted to the senior team. Keep an eye on those two as top options to be a replacement.
