Refs missed TEN calls in last two minutes of Wolves-Hornets game

Monday night's contest certainly wasn't a display of officiating at its best.

There were 10 missed calls in the final two minutes of the Timberwolves’ 128-125 loss to the Charlotte Hornets Monday night at Target Center, according to the NBA’s last two-minute report released on Tuesday.

Of the missed calls, seven went against the Timberwolves – including two on Karl-Anthony Towns on his final attempt – and three were against the Hornets.

Here’s how it went down:

The first came with 1:48 remaining when the Hornets’ Terry Rozier wasn’t called for a shooting foul on a Jaden McDaniels attempt. On the rebound a second later, a P.J. Washington’s loose ball foul against Rudy Gobert went uncalled.

With 1:30 remaining, Rozier got away with a travel. Brandon Miller’s shooting foul on Nickeil Alexander-Walker with 1:07 left should have gone against Washington. Kyle Anderson got away with a shooting foul on LaMelo Ball with 48 seconds remaining. Then Ball got away with a double dribble with 19 seconds left.

That was followed by *checks notes* another uncalled shooting foul, this time from Gobert on Ball’s shot attempt with 16.6 seconds remaining.

And then came the sequence that was the talk of Wolves Twitter. There was a missed reaching foul from Rozier on Karl-Anthony Towns as he drove to the hoop with a chance to take the lead. On Towns’ shot attempt, they missed a foul call on Leaky Black.

Had they called a foul, Towns would have had two free-throws for a chance to put the Wolves 127-126 ahead.

Finally, Gobert fouled Miles Bridges in the last second of the game on the final inbounds pass, making it an even 10 missed calls in the last two minutes.

Make that the last 1 minute, 48 seconds.
