Broncos' RB C.J. Anderson leaves game with apparent concussion
Denver running back C.J. Anderson left the Broncos' pre-season rematch of Super Bowl XLVIII against the Seattle Seahawks Thursday night with what appeared to be concussion-like symptoms, according to multiple sources.
Seahawks linebacker Brock Coyle rushed toward Anderson and delivered a thundering tackle, which left the 23-year-old second-year player out of Cal jarred; he staggered as he attempted to walk off the field. The hit went directly to Anderson's helmet, according to ESPN NFL Nation reporter Jeff Legwold. Legwold's Thursday night tweets, below:
Anderson is listed as the Broncos' third-string running back on the team's most recent depth chart behind Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman.
Anderson rushed for 38 yards over seven carries during his debut season last year with the Broncos.
