Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie wide receiver Mike Evans is likely to play in Sunday’s home game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Evans reportedly was supposed to miss up to three weeks with the injury.

Evans did not play in last Sunday’s loss to the New Orleans Saints due a groin injury. He sustained the injury in the third quarter of team’s victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4.

Evans was drafted seventh overall in the 2014 NFL Draft after an All-American season at Texas A&M. He has 17 catches for 203 yards and one touchdown this season for Tampa Bay (1-4).

BANKS: Week 6 NFL Picks

Evans’ counterpart, Vincent Jackson, has missed practice all week because of a rib injury. Either Robert Herron and Louis Murphy will start if Jackson is not able to play on Sunday.

Tampa Bay’s passing offense is ranked 29th in the NFL and team is averaging 20.6 points a game this season, which ranks them 25th in the league.
